decision to make is exactly 'where' to go ! We hope this will give you

Most people arrive through
Bangkok Airport.
From Bangkok it is easy to travel around Thailand and also continue to
other parts of South East Asia.
Getting around in
Thailand tells you how easy it is with some easy guidelines. To
put it simply, for short journeys taxis or cars with driver are
relatively cheap and easy, on a tighter budget plenty of air conditioned
buses. Trains also operate to some destinations. Thailand domestic
flights are cheap and frequent with a wide choice of airlines including

Cities in Thailand :
Bangkok is Thailand's Capital and major city, it is also the place most
people arrive through.
Bangkok is a busy
and vibrant city.
Chiang Mai is Thailand's second largest city and gateway to the
North of Thailand. Other major cities include
Hat Yai, Ubon
Ratchasima, Khon Kaen
and others.
Inland History and Culture:
From Bangkok you can easily reach Kanchanaburi and the Bridge on the
River Kwai,
Ayuthaya and Sukhothai
offer an insight into the history and culture of Thailand. Isan Province
/ North East Thailand offers rural areas, farmlands, local towns and
villages and off the beaten track charming destinations.
Mae Hong Son
and Chiang Rai
are usually reached via Chiang Mai.
Lampang in
Central Thailand another interesting place to visit.

Thai Islands: The most
famous are
Phuket and
Koh Samui, both
offer plenty of facilities for the tourist with lots to do, shopping and
entertainment. Snorkeling is available at nearby islands from both Samui

and large entertainment venues.

Koh Lanta in the
south is a relativley quiet island, many of these Thai islands have both

Phi Phi Island
can be easily reached from Phuket or Krabi. In the far south of Thailand
you can find accommodation on
Koh Ngai, Koh Mook,
Sukorn and also in the Trang area. North of Phuket on the mainland is
Khao Lak which is
now very popular. Not an island but a very popular beach near Phuket.

South from Bangkok is the
Sunrise Coast
that includes Cha Am,
Hua Hin, also
Pranburi, Bang Saphan and Chumphon.
Cha Am and Hua Hin
are the busiest of these, Hua Hin being the largest and offering
shopping, restaurants and entertainment. From Chumphon there are
boats to Koh Tao / Koh Nang Yuan, Koh Phangan and Koh Samui.

Beach Hopping down the Thai Gulf Coast: You can easily hop
between beaches along the coast south of Bangkok, each place can be
between 30 minutes and a couple of hours by road, so getting from place
to place by bus, train or taxi is quite easy.

South East from Bangkok is
Pattaya City, busy
and lively, also nearby beaches such as
Jomtien Beach. Further along the coast is Rayong which is very
quiet, from here you can take a boat to
Koh Samet or
continue down the coast to Trat and take a boat to Koh Chang.
Koh Chang is the
most popular island off the East coast of the Gulf of Thailand.
Krabi and Khao Lak: These
are mainland beach areas in Southern Thailand.
Krabi is served through Krabi Airport and
Khao Lak through
Phuket Airport. You can travel south from Krabi to
Koh Lanta.
