Thai Airways - Full service
Thai Airways provides top class domestic air travel in Thailand,
offering a choice of Royal Orchid Executive
Class or Economy / Coach class. Most domestic flights on main
route are with wide bodied Boeing 747-400, 772, or Airbus A-330 or A-300
wide bodied airliners. A few domestic flights are operated with Boeing
737 single aisle aircraft. Normal free baggage allowance 20 kg or
30kg for Executive class. Thai Airways flights from Bangkok to
Koh Samui have started, twice daily.
Bangkok Airways - Full service
Thai domestic and regional international flights with ATR 72 aircraft or
Airbus A-319 or A-320 Twin jets. Busiest route is to
Koh Samui. Normal free baggage allowance 20 kg.

Malaysia, also to and from Jakarta. Travelers only have to pay the taxes, fees,
and any surcharges for these flights.
One-2-Go Airlines - Domestic
low cost carrier providing in flight service and full 20
kg baggage allowance, operating mainly
MD-80 aircraft
Main airports in addition to Bangkok are Chiang Mai, Phuket, Samui,
Udon Thani, Khon Kaen, Ubon, Chiang Rai, Hat Yai, Krabi and Nakhon -

Flights from Northern to Southern Thailand: Thai has a once
daily non-stop from Chiang Mai to
Phuket.
Thailand Bus Travel
Air conditioned Express buses operate throughout Thailand providing
access from cities and towns even to small towns and locations. Bus travel is cheap but if you are on a long journey
consider budget airlines or trains. You can travel all the way south to
Trang area and travel to Satun to take the boat to stay at

Trains operate major routes to the North and North east of Thailand
and also on the southern route. The train route south serves popular
beach areas and stops along the coast in
Hua Hin ,
Bang Saphan and also Chumphon and Surat Thani. From Chumphon ferries operate to Koh Tao and also to Koh Phangan
and from Surat Thani ferries to Koh Samui.

travel by train in Thailand The southern route operates along the coast to
Hat Yai and onwards to
Butterworth near Penang Malaysia and onward connections to
Kuala Lumpur, there is another line in the south
of Thailand to Trang. Most trains have 2nd and 3rd class with others also having 1st
class, 1st class and 2nd class air conditioned sleeps are ideal for long
overnight journeys.
